Mardu Midrange in Standard (Video)



Today I have another video in store for you. A video of a deck that has fallen out of favor recently, Mardu Midrange. The build is similar to that of the decks that composed a big part of the early stages of Khans of Tarkir Standard with a few minor alterations, mostly in the sideboard. I'm not sure why the deck has slowly lost popularity as there are a lot of really good match-ups for the deck in the current meta. One of the key match-ups is UW heroic, which put several copies in to the top eight of the Star City Open in Columbus last weekend. The UW heroic match-up is tackled by the Mardu deck with the two Crackling Doom in the main board with two copies ready to shuffle up in the sideboard for games two and three. The UW deck will attempt to create a massive creature only to lose it to Crackling Doom. This can be seen in the two matches I lucked out in facing UW heroic in the three rounds below.
